Writing Successes: Amazon work. Story, help page, that kind of thing. I actually did some of this yesterday, too, and totally forgot. So wipe that "not a thing" off there. Thanks.

Music Playing: KMHD, the Jazz Station. This is a local college-run station that's non-profit. It doesn't have commercials (except during plege week), but it does have announcers. It also plays JAZZ jazz, not modern-jazz. (Like Kenny G. They don't play Kenny here.) Sometimes they play old jazz, which is my favorite. (Satchmo and Mel Torme' and Benny Goodman.)

Well, I didn't get 103 hits from Joe Millionare. I got six hits overall. Thank you, all my fans! This Hit's for you! Of course, one guy was looking for a herbal high of some kind, and how it came up in my blog I have no idea.

I'll get some hits for the next item, however. I completed my SEA assignment, to make water move. Unlike my compatriots, I didn't choose to animate a lake or stream or river or ocean. Instead, I chose a bathtub. Naked David Boreanaz in a bathtub, to be exact. Feel free to gawk and stare.

Spent some of today showing Selena around the Pandora's Box website. She wanted a picture of a "Flapper" for a report she's doing on 1920's Chicago. Mind you, she didn't know what a flapper WAS until yesterday when I explained it. But Louise Brooks has enough flapper-ish photos to suit anyone, so I sent her along. She should ask me about a 1920's bathroom sometime. I have the wierdest interests.

I just want to mention that it makes little sense for a bankrupt school system's teachers to strike for more money the state doesn't have. It's kind of insult to injury, IMO. I mean, I understand wanting a raise. I understanding waiting for a raise. I understand paying teachers what they're worth. But all of them know the score, they saw Measure 28 die a horrible death, they know there's no money to have. In a school system already having to cut its days to save cash (Oregon has the shortest school year in the nation atm, thanks to budget issues.), striking teachers serves nobody. Sure ticks me off to watch it.

Then again, most news nowadays just frustrates me. How can Shrub ignore peace protests? How can that NOT bother him? What a goober. How could a sensible people vote down all the tax measures needed to keep kids in school and baddies in jail? How can a story about Michael Jackson be THAT interesting or important? I mean, it's STILL there. GET. YOUR. OWN. LIFE. I try to cook during the news lately. It's all a rehash of a rehash.

Then I heard that the native Americans are willing to fund a new stadium for a major league baseball team....as long as they can also build a casino in the city limits. Hey, I'm all for it. I think having gambling outlawed in this day and age (when you can do it from your home legally over the internet anyhow) is kind of stupid. But it's a strange trade-off, don't you think? Balls for a Buck? Batting A Thousand? Makes for interesting headlines, I suppose.

Well, kalinihta. Cu ena durus Tae'nah arcis. But not the gals on Survivor. They're not a good Tae'nah sampling. I shudder.

Writing Successes: Uh...not a thing.

Music Playing: Oprah. Okay, it's not music. It's midafternon. I blogged last night and it didn't take.

I just want to say how much I enjoy Eden's blog. Not only does she have great tangents and things to say, she also gives you reports on stuff like:

Note: This blog had 103 hits yesterday, mostly due to people Googling "Joe Millionare bondage photos."

So, I'm posting it to see if I get 103 hits. If you're here for that, go read some of Eden's work.

Using a Blog Idea today, because I'm just feeling warped in the head. My brain is still on Buffy, and apparently there will be more this weekend. And Angel Season One arrived, as well. Go Joss!

What's the perfect pizza? Well, for me, it's a Farmers. They don't make them under that name anymore, but I love them anyhow, and make my own whenever possible. It's Canadian bacon, black olives, and tomatoes. I found it's really very good on Pizza Hut's stuffed crust, or on the new Gold Crust. However, I really like the Papa Murphy's freshness and quantity of olives better, so I'd rather go there, even without the stuffed crust.

A close second would be the Papa Murphy's Chicago-Style Stuffed pizza. This is bascally a full-sized calzone. Pizza crust, layer of meat, sauce & cheese, layer of crust, layer of spices & garnish things (like green onions, chunks of peppers) and cheese. Takes about :35 min to cook, but it's worth the wait. Two pieces, if you can make it that far, stuff you beyond reason.

Well, I hope this posts this time. Hope to have a writing success to post tomorrow. Then again, I hoped that for today, too.

Writing Successes: Edited a story for the Giensata. Figure she'll either love me or hate me for it. Since I didn't see her today, I'll let you know.

Music Playing: Uh...Voyager. No, the TV is on. That is rare for me this time of day, I realize. But Monday's can be special. Besides, I miss this show.

Just about the only I accomplished this weekend was editing for the Giensata. Okay, I made a graphic for Selena's birthday, too. Other than that, it was All Buffy All The Time.

Started out with a quest to purchase Buffy Season 2. Kou has season one on DVD already, has had for months. We had a great time pouring ourselves in and out of that. It's nice to know you have all the episodes to hand and aren't missing some due to TV restraints. She purchased Angel Season One online last Tuesday, and bought Buffy Season 3 the day after. But Season 2 remained elusive.

So we went to Target. Nothing. Ended up buying a bunch of clothing for her daughter instead. Great fun, but no Buffy. Went from there to Fred Meyer. (Unless you live in Oregon, you have no idea what a Freddie's is. Picture a kind of cheaper Sears, but not by a lot.) They didn't have it either. We bought snack food instead. They suggested we visit Tower Records, and sure enough, they had ONE copy.

Armed now with Buffy seasons 2 & 3, we returned to the house, threw my vampire-slaying hating hubby out of the livingroom and settled in. We were up until 5 am Saturday night watching Buffy. Season two, episodes 1 - 12. 50 minutes a shot. That's a lot of Buffy. She came back on Sunday, where we finished out the season, episodes 13 - 24. That was only 2am.

Needless to say, I missed the Sunday Brunch chat, am feeling sicker than a dog thanks to the snackage and late nights, and have Buffy Brains. I'm seeing Xander pretty much everywhere I look. It's eerie.

Which doesn't explain the freakish porn dream on Saturday night, either. There was some kind of wrestling ring, only they were doing like tag-team porn with the audience. Well, my DH volunteered and went up on stage. Nervous, he couldn't really...perform...until I left the room. Which was lucky for me, since Daphne (the character, although it was pretty obviously Jane Leeves) was in the bathroom. Daphne had a lot to say about Niles' sexual performance, and I met him outside the restroom.

I have no idea what that means. Anyone a dream interpreter? Can't really even remember the last time I watched Frasier. So, freak me out.

On the upside, I heard a story today that Portland public schools have raised enough money to put Outdoor School back on the menu for our kids. My son is in the sixth grade this year, so this was his year to go. I went four times myself. My elder son went 2 years ago. I can't imagine not having this amazing program in our area. It's such a loss. But this from a school system considering not having athletics of most kinds, too. There go about 500 potential college students who rely on athletic scholarships. The tragic part of the Outdoor school news? My son isn't IN the Portland district. He's in David Douglas. And I dunno if they've got it back, because the stupid Portland stations only report on Portland public school activities. Never mind that six school disctrics operate in this area. I'm hopeful. It's still sort of good news.

Then again, someone shot a cabdriver about two miles from here. There's happy news.

Well, sorry, no story today. I'll try to make it up later in the week. No guarantees, of course. But if you have a beef, you can always leave a comment. You won't. But you could.
