Writing Successes: Edited a story for the Giensata. Figure she'll either love me or hate me for it. Since I didn't see her today, I'll let you know.

Music Playing: Uh...Voyager. No, the TV is on. That is rare for me this time of day, I realize. But Monday's can be special. Besides, I miss this show.

Just about the only I accomplished this weekend was editing for the Giensata. Okay, I made a graphic for Selena's birthday, too. Other than that, it was All Buffy All The Time.

Started out with a quest to purchase Buffy Season 2. Kou has season one on DVD already, has had for months. We had a great time pouring ourselves in and out of that. It's nice to know you have all the episodes to hand and aren't missing some due to TV restraints. She purchased Angel Season One online last Tuesday, and bought Buffy Season 3 the day after. But Season 2 remained elusive.

So we went to Target. Nothing. Ended up buying a bunch of clothing for her daughter instead. Great fun, but no Buffy. Went from there to Fred Meyer. (Unless you live in Oregon, you have no idea what a Freddie's is. Picture a kind of cheaper Sears, but not by a lot.) They didn't have it either. We bought snack food instead. They suggested we visit Tower Records, and sure enough, they had ONE copy.

Armed now with Buffy seasons 2 & 3, we returned to the house, threw my vampire-slaying hating hubby out of the livingroom and settled in. We were up until 5 am Saturday night watching Buffy. Season two, episodes 1 - 12. 50 minutes a shot. That's a lot of Buffy. She came back on Sunday, where we finished out the season, episodes 13 - 24. That was only 2am.

Needless to say, I missed the Sunday Brunch chat, am feeling sicker than a dog thanks to the snackage and late nights, and have Buffy Brains. I'm seeing Xander pretty much everywhere I look. It's eerie.

Which doesn't explain the freakish porn dream on Saturday night, either. There was some kind of wrestling ring, only they were doing like tag-team porn with the audience. Well, my DH volunteered and went up on stage. Nervous, he couldn't really...perform...until I left the room. Which was lucky for me, since Daphne (the character, although it was pretty obviously Jane Leeves) was in the bathroom. Daphne had a lot to say about Niles' sexual performance, and I met him outside the restroom.

I have no idea what that means. Anyone a dream interpreter? Can't really even remember the last time I watched Frasier. So, freak me out.

On the upside, I heard a story today that Portland public schools have raised enough money to put Outdoor School back on the menu for our kids. My son is in the sixth grade this year, so this was his year to go. I went four times myself. My elder son went 2 years ago. I can't imagine not having this amazing program in our area. It's such a loss. But this from a school system considering not having athletics of most kinds, too. There go about 500 potential college students who rely on athletic scholarships. The tragic part of the Outdoor school news? My son isn't IN the Portland district. He's in David Douglas. And I dunno if they've got it back, because the stupid Portland stations only report on Portland public school activities. Never mind that six school disctrics operate in this area. I'm hopeful. It's still sort of good news.

Then again, someone shot a cabdriver about two miles from here. There's happy news.

Well, sorry, no story today. I'll try to make it up later in the week. No guarantees, of course. But if you have a beef, you can always leave a comment. You won't. But you could.
