Yeah, okay, so I don't update this thing very often. It isn't yours, anyhow, it's mine.
Rant:
So, I overdosed on "Frontier House" episodes yesterday. So bad, in fact, that I dreamed I was a pioneer. Now, first, this would never happen. I would have been killed long before I got there. I just am not in good enough physical shape to have walked for months to get to Montana (in this case.) Second, I suck at dishes by hand, and I love my toilet paper. Anyhow, it was great to watch, but boy, I wouldn't want to live there. The DH, of course, kept drooling with envy. Well, he can have a nice time in the snow. Go for it.
Raves:
I spent the weekend on vacation. Basically, I sat in a little room and watched a variety of tv programs both on dvd and on cable. Now, you should know, I don't have cable in my home. Why? Well, it's too spendy for the likes of me, apparently. (Dh says so, anyhow.)
I watched Buffy, the first season, on DVD. I watched 3 episodes of "Love, American Style," which just made me laugh hysterically. I saw an episode of "Northern Exposure," which I used to watch all the TIME when it was first run. I loved that show. And I even got to watch 2 Xena: Warrior Princess episodes I'd never seen. "A Fistful of Dinars" and "The Xena Scrolls". I loved it. May I just say that "Oxygen" rules. They show Xena episodes twice a day all week long, and at least one on Saturday.
I also went zipping down to Spirit Mountain casino in Grande Ronde. It was a LOT of fun, but way too fast for my taste. I won a little desk clock as a door prize, and managed to have nearly $20 bucks in my pocket on the way home. (I lost $30, but came home with money. That's winning for me. LOL) I played some "live" blackjack, but felt the need to run off after the third 15 in a row. The rest of the time I spent at my usual pursuits....video *insert gambling game*. I did some poker, some bj, some keno, some slots....all video related. I didn't understand the slots, and did all right at the poker.
All told, it was a nice vacation. I'm still recovering, however. I'm all sleepy. But I'm still working. Lookit me go. (ha)
Might be going off to see "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings" Wednesday. I kind of want to convince Kou (it will be her birthday) to see "Spiderman" instead. I'm not a huge LOTR fan in any case. But I do like movies, and I understand the LOTR live version is about 30000000 better than the cartoon hoped to be. (Which, I hope, means it's a lot less boring than the books.) But "Spiderman" looks awesome. ;)
Well, I've got a soap to watch (Stupid Days of Our Lives anyhow), so I'll write again. (Probably not soon!)
