Got our taxes back and this weekend we bought a car from my brother in law. It's a 1998 Ford Escor Z2 something. Pretty, sleek, silvery...kind of cool, really. Yesterday, we drove east to Stonehenge (in Oregon), which is a war memorial for Klickitat County. It's up on this hill with this great view of Columbia River. Sadly, we didn't go to the museum, but we might now that I've seen this site. (rofl) It was scads of fun, and gee, there is a world outside my door. http://www.maryhillmuseum.org/about.htm#ston My husband had planned to take pictures since it was about 70 and sunny and just perfect, but his camera failed him and he couldn't. Trust me, everyone visiting the site knew it, too. (Doesn't it annoy you when your man starts raving in all curses in a crowd? No? Oh. Don't try it.)

This last week was Spring Break for my kids. Just before, my younger son Matt (13) wrote an essay in some classtime. It was basically a rant and rave about how much he hates school. Everyone picks on him, the work is stupid, yadda yadda, typical things. Well, at the end he goes, "Blowy-uppy" and asks "who would win, a bomb or the school?" which got him expelled for 2 days (that Friday and today.) Zero tolerence policy, you know. It also means we've had to see a therapist who is making a report who will then present to the principal at the school. She's supposed to determine if he's a threat to himself or to the schools. Sometime this week (ha) we're all supposed to get together for the report and then he can return to school. So, he'll actually be expelled for "until the meeting", whenever they can get around to that. Of course, nobody bothered to tell the attendance lady, who called to ask where Matt was today. *dur*

My mother went in this morning to have both knees replaced. The bones deteriorated or something and now she's getting fabricated knees instead. Since she lives in Montana, it's not like I can visit her. However, my brother is there and I called her yesterday to wish her health and luck and so forth. She'll be in hospital until Friday, when she'll be staying with my brother and his family until she can manage on her own. I'm sure she'll be fine, but I wish I could have been there to encourage her.

I think that's it for now. (ain't it enough?)
