Delusions of Grandeur

Well, although it looks like I slacked off here, I was too busy to write. Apologize for that, love the Blog. But some things take precedence.

My 11 yr old son said his life had no meaning, and claimed he would throw himself in front of a truck. His therapist, his school counselor, and I were all concerned, and we had him admitted to the psych ward at the local hospital. He was there a week, which was horribly nervewracking. He's out, and fine, and doing better I think. But it was a horrid couple of weeks.

Now it's almost Christmas. My mother is here, and my brother and his wife and 5 kids will be coming tomorrow for dinner. We managed to get the boys their hearts desires, and while they may not get much else, they did get GameBoy color's and a game. Three years they've asked for that. It's about time.

Today's Rant

My mother knows just everything, and has to tell you. Her way is better, faster, cleaner, healthier, and generally perfect, and yours is crap. I know, because she tells me. It's going to be a long couple of days.

A second rant is newsletters you can't get off of. I have been on this horrible mailing list for Embarassing Moments or something for about a year now. I never signed up for it, but I get 2 emails a day from them. I can't get OFF it. I've sent the right notes, I'm not in the yahoo-group that sends the mails, nothing. Yet every day, twice a day, I get mail from there. I send the remove mail, and get messages saying I'm not in the group. Well, the reality is, if I'm not in the group, why would I ask to get OUT of the group? In frustration, I've sent Yahoo an email to tech support. Perhaps sometime next July I might get off this mailing list.

A third rant has to be about servers that crash in the middle of important moves. Zigire is down, again, so my rock band can't do anything. Annoying and frustrating. I've had some good song ideas. Most important is that I can't be sure my band isn't slipping off the charts while we wait for the Zigire folks to fix the problem. *sigh* A second server, Network 54, hosts a forum for my Amazon sisters, Themiscrya. They held a Winter Solstice story contest, and I was one of two whole entries. But they never said who won, or anything else in 2 days, cause Network 54 has been down since Friday. I mean, it only works on weekdays, what?

Well, have a good Christmas or Boxing Day or whatever you practice and celebrate.
