Writing Successes: I'm holding the sanity right now. I had a good idea for a title for a biography, should I write on, while in the shower, however.

Music Playing: KINK, just past "Lights Out" and the "MacDonald Observatory" lesson of the day.

Want to send a nice thank you to everyone who's been sending me messages of kindness, hope, and caring about the upcoming surgery. I'm excited and nervous, and I appreciate the remarks.

There are some 'before' pictures here. Nothing sublime or x-rated. Just me and Kou messing around. DH took the pictures, indoors, against my really 'white' wall that hasn't managed to get painted yet. Anyhow, they ain't perfect, but they're probably the only before's getting posted.

I'm trying to do a huge 'wrap up' of everything that needs doing. (Like, say, posting in my blog.) I'm down to the last few days now, and I only have a few things left undone. I hope to have it all wrapped up before FRIDAY, so I can spend a stress-free weekend shutting everything down and cleaning the house. (ick) But it's all looking good.

I did get a list of "can't do" stuff. For the first five days, no raising your hands over your head or your elbows above your shoulder level. So, no brushing your own hair. Since I've really long, thick hair, we've decided to go with braiding instead of cutting it all off. I really didn't want to do that.

No lifting anything over 5 lbs (a gallon of milk), in fact, lift only your fork for the first few days. No driving (not that I have a car anyhow), no housework (aw, so sad). Basically, I can watch movies. heh.

The doc did say that typing was fine. So, I might be back online before anyone really misses me. But I still figure at least the first week I'll be totally offline. Tuesday, operation. Wednesday: Recovery, come home, recovery. Rest of week: same, hopefully partially drug-induced. (bwah). But by the weekend, I might be all right to check the mail and a few other things. But I doubt I'll spend like 8-12 hrs (a normal online day for me) at the computer.

I have a book ready to go. I "should" finish (hang on to yourself) "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship" today or tomorrow. Only took me 9 months. Anyhow, once that's gone, I'm doing Oprah's new one, "Cry, The Beloved Country". It's already wierding me out. He doesn't use " in his dialog, just a - at the front. It's a little disjointed this way. But I hope to adjust.

If not, it's not like I haven't several shelves of Harlequins. LOL.

Okay, Bizarre Quiz of the Day:

elf
You are Form 6, Elfin: The Wyld.

"And The Elfin saw the evil and
misjudgement in the world and shot her arrow at
the sky. Bolts of lightning struck the earth
and gave the world balance and
growth."

Some examples of the Elfin Form are Demeter (Greek)
and Khepry (Egyptian).
The Elfin is associated with the concept of growth
and balance, the number 6, and the element of
water.
Her sign is the half moon.

As a member of Form 6, you are a very balanced
individual. You can easily adapt to most
situations and you may be a good social
chameleon. You aren't afraid of changes in
your life, but sometimes you evolve too
rapidly, leaving others to think that you are
leaving them behind. Elfin are the best
friends to have because they are open minded.

Thanks to Jadea for that one. It's pretty me. LOL

I'll try to post before Tuesday, but don't count on it. :)
