Okay, I had a major computer crash. It was so bad, in fact, that I had to delete everything on my hard drive and reinstall. Well, I didn't do it, but I authorized it. So, here I am.
Since you last saw me (man, that was long ago! Look at that date!), I've entered a writing contest. Held by Wizards of the Coast, it was to create a fantasy universe upon which they could build and market fantasy novels, role-playing games, cards, whatever. I only found out about it 48 hours before it was due in (yipe!) so I had to work fast. In conjunction with my writing partner, Ric, I managed to get the proposal done and out. I crammed a lot of words onto the ONE page they requested be sent in. They were supposed to let the first round winners know on July 3rd, but they got 10k entries, and move the date out to the first week of August. Now, I know I'm going to win, but any positive thoughts you'd like to add will be appreciated. And if you entered, good luck!
My son turned 13 this week, too. Man, what a freaky experience that is. For me, that is. I had one of those childhoods where you don't remember much? But my memory starts at about 13, really. There's a lot going on in my brain as I compare my childhood to his. What a difference! Know what, I couldn't be happier about that!
No bizarre quiz today. I have lost my links (weep) to some of the ones I had prepared. I'm out looking for new ones, never fear!
Until next time, keep your sword sharp and your bow strung! Herete!
