Tepae, it was an interesting week. After the day spent trying on clothes, my step-mom's mom (MJ from now on) sent her husband (G) over with a wad of food. Not only that, but she wanted sizes and things for the boys to get them clothing and shoes. They were also taking gift requests for them. And they're providing my holiday meal.

I'm grateful. Seriously, I can use all that stuff. I don't mind a bit. What slays me is that MJ and G aren't even related to me at all. They're my EX-step-mother's mom and dad. Yet here they are, happy to help out and step up. So, color me all kinds of impressed with all of that.

We were also invited over to celebrate my step-brother's (M) recent marriage. They were up from (somewhere warm, like Vegas...but I'm not sure it was Vegas) the south visiting. So we went over and spent like four hours over there with my step-mom's entire family. It was very cool. Little awkward, since we knew practically nobody...but we still had some rousing conversations.

Later, after the bulk of the partygoers had come and gone already, my dad shows up. (He adopted M, I belive, so technically, M is my brother.) He enters and sees Donin, then the boys, then me all sitting there. He does a double take. He was SHOCKED to see us there. He said later that nobody told him we were going to be there.

I guess we aren't allowed to socialize with them without him around? Or was it just we didn't clear our plans with him? I dunno. He's a little wierd. He's the one who arrived 3 and a half hrs late. Guess he should be shocked ANYONE was still there. ;)

It was a nice time anyhow. Now, all I have to do is actually BUY some presents. What? Of course I haven't bought gifts. Don't be insane. Who buys gifts before the 23rd or 24th? EVERYONE? Are you serious? Wow. Guess I'd better get busy....
